1972

Kikkoman Foods, Inc. our first U.S. plant, is established in Walworth, Wisconsin.

 

Kikkoman enters the restaurant business in Europe, by opening the Daitokai restaurant in Dusseldorf, Germany.

 
1974

Kikkoman enters the restaurant business in Japan by opening the Colza restaurant in Tokyo.

1979

Kikkoman Trading Europe GmbH is established in Dusseldorf, Germany.

1983

Kikkoman (S) Pte Ltd, a production facility, is established in Singapore

 
1987

Fully-automated soy sauce plant begins operations in Hokkaido, Japan.

 
1990

Kikkoman buys perpetual marketing rights to the Del Monte brand name in the Asia-Pacific region except for the Philippines.

Joint-venture company, President Kikkoman Inc., is established to produce soy sauce in Taiwan.

 

Kikkoman Trading (S) Pte Ltd is established in Singapore

1992

Kikkoman Australia Pty Limited begins marketing operations in Sydney.

1997

Kikkoman Foods Europe B.V. is established in Hoogezand-Sappemeer, the Netherlands.

 
1998

Kikkoman Foods, Inc. establishes its second U.S. plant in Folsom, California.
