Ingredients(Servings: 2)

1

(A)Broth

200 ml (6.8 fl. oz.)

Directions

  1. Remove the backbone from the mackerel and cut into easy-to-eat pieces. Remove the pit from the pickled apricot and tear apart the flesh into small pieces.
  2. Heat (A) over medium heat in a pot, then add in the mackerel. Once boiling again, add in the pickled apricot, cover with a drop lid* and leave to simmer for 7 to 8 minutes still over medium heat. After removing the roots from the daikon radish sprouts add these, turn off the heat and serve onto plates.
    • A drop lid is a lid that floats on top of the liquid in pans while simmering foods. It allows heat to be evenly distributed so ingredients cook evenly and quickly. You can purchase one, or make a substitute out of aluminum foil.
