Directions

  1. Remove the hard bases from the shiitake mushrooms, and coarsely mince the caps and stalks.
  2. Mince each of the long onion and ginger.
  3. Heat the sesame oil in a fry pan, and saute (1) and (2). Take time to slowly saute over low-medium heat until fragrant.
  4. Add (A) to (3), and heat while mixing together.
  5. Enjoy by wrapping the rice and the shiitake miso mixture (4) in the lettuce leaves.

Cooking Basics

Japanese long onion - finely chopped

Remove the roots of the Japanese long onion, and insert vertical cuts. Then chop up finely at right angles from end to end.


Ginger - mincing

Remove the skin of the ginger and thinly slice, gradually sliding and stacking the slices. Then mince the ginger into fine pieces, and slice again finely at right angles.
