Directions

  1. Wrap the sweet potato in plastic wrap, and microwave for 2 minutes at 600 W (or on high).
    Turn over and microwave for another minute.
    Continue to heat up until it can be easily pierced with a fork or skewer.
  2. Peel and smash (1), then add and mix with (A).
    When forming the mixture into round dumplings, add mirin little by little so they are moist enough to prevent cracking.
  3. Brush the balls with egg yolk or more mirin and sprinkle with the sesame seeds.
    Bake the dumplings in an oven at 210 C (410 F) for 10 minutes or until the dumplings are lightly browned.
