JFC International Inc. Launches New Product: Organic Nishiki Rice

In June 2025, JFC International Inc. (hereinafter JFC), in charge of the Kikkoman Group’s Asian food product wholesale business in the U.S., began sales of a new product “Organic Nishiki Rice” under its flagship Nishiki brand. This product meets standards required by the United States Department of Agriculture USDA National Organic Program, and marks the first organic offering in the Nishiki product lineup.

Nishiki, a medium-grain California rice with a proud history of over 40 years, is one of JFC’s representative brands. Carefully cultivated and milled to deliver the highest quality, Nishiki Rice is a top choice for sushi as it holds shape well, making it perfect for nigiri and other sushi preparations. It is also ideal for various Japanese dishes such as donburi (rice bowls) and onigiri (rice balls). With versatility extending beyond Japanese cuisine, Nishiki Rice can be used in pilafs and any dish calling for premium medium-grain rice.
To meet the growing demand for health-conscious and sustainably sourced food options, Nishiki is expanding its product line to include a range of 100% certified organic rice. This addition reinforces our commitment to sustainability, health, and innovation, while staying aligned with consumer trends.
Utilizing the same proprietary seed from our conventional Nishiki Rice programs, we were able to cultivate the same great taste and texture of Nishiki using organic farming and processing techniques.
Not only is this product beneficial to consumers, but it also provides immense benefits to the environment by eliminating the use of synthetic chemicals and fertilizers. It helps preserve soil health, water quality, and wildlife biodiversity in our Northern California rice fields.
