1/2 can (70 g/2.5 oz with water included)

1/2 bunch

1 clove

a dash

(A)Bouillon

1/2 block

Directions

  1. Break apart the broccoli into individual pieces.
  2. Add (1) and crushed garlic to a pot. Fill the pot with 1 cm (1/2 in) of water. Boil for 5-6 min. over high heat.
  3. Mash well with a wooden spatula. Pour in the bouillon and heat.
  4. Once boiling, pour in the broth from the can. Season with usukuchi soy sauce and pepper.

Garlic - crushing

Peel the thin skin, then cut into half vertically. Place the cut side down to prevent the garlic from moving around during cutting. Place a flat object on top and press down to crush. The flatside of a knifeblade can also be used, however a wooden spatula is safer as it is less likely to slip during crushing.
