- Cut the green peppers in half lengthwise, remove the stems and seeds, then slice lengthwise into 5 mm (0.2 in.) pieces. Cut the chikuwas into half their length, then quarter each half lengthwise.
- Heat the olive oil in a fry pan, stir-fry the green peppers and chikuwas over medium heat. Add in (A) and quickly mix in.
- Turn the heat to low, top with the shredded cheese and cover with a lid. Once the cheese has melted, turn off the heat and sprinkle in the black pepper.

Cut the pepper in half, fold the stem and then remove the seeds with your fingers. This is an easier and less wasteful method than using a knife.
