Directions

  1. Cut the beef into bite-sized pieces. Massage in (A) and set aside to marinate.
  2. Mix together (B).
  3. Thinly slice the bamboo shoot into 3 to 4 cm (1.5 in.) lengths. Cut the negi into 2 cm (0.8 in.) lengths. Remove the hard core from the cabbage and chop into large bite-sized pieces.
  4. Heat 1 Tbsp of sesame oil in a fry pan and brown the beef. Once the color has completely changed, remove and set aside.
  5. Add the remaining 1/2 Tbsp of sesame oil to the same fry pan and stir fry (3) for 1 to 2 minutes. Add in the cooked beef, pour on (2) and stir fry until all ingredients are cooked through.

Cabbage - bite-size pieces

Separate the leaves, remove the core, cut the leaves in half lengthwise, and then stack. Cut into 3 cm (1.2 in.) wide strips, then cut into 3 cm (1.2 in.) wide squares.
