Directions

  1. Slice the onion in half lengthwise and then into eight wedges. Slice the asparagus into 3 cm (1.2 in.) pieces and boil. Trim snap peas and boil.
  2. Place onion wedges (1) in a microwave-safe dish, coat with salad oil and cook on high for 2 minutes. Soak panko(Japanese bread crumbs) in milk.
  3. Combine ingredients from (2) and (A) in a bowl and mix well. Divide into ten portions and form into patties.
  4. Heat oil in a frypan, add the patties from (3) and cook, turning over when one side is browned. Add the onion wedges from (1) and continue to cook.
  5. Add ingredients from (B) to the frypan, cover and cook on medium heat for 10 minutes. Remove lid and carefully stir ingredients to ensure patties are coated. Add the asparagus and cook on high until ready.
