Cut the potatoes into 4 cm (1-1/2 in.) pieces

Cut the onion into 1 cm (1/2 in.) wide wedges.

Slice the pork into 3 cm (1-1/4 in.) lengths and coat with 1/2 Tbsp sake.

Heat the oil in a frying pan, then quickly saute (2), dry and add (3), and cook while stirring.

When the pork changes color, add (1) and stir together. Add the remaining sake and bonito, and when it comes to a boil, lower to medium heat.

When the potatoes are soft, add (A) and simmer for about 5 minutes.
