Directions
- Rinse the beans in a pot and then drain well. Add in (A), then leave to soak overnight (about 8 hours).
- Place (1) over high heat, remove any scum that forms once boiling, then slowly simmer over low heat. Simmer for about 2 hours while adding hot water throughout to keep the beans submerged.
- Turn off the heat once softened, and without draining, allow the beans to be infused with flavor overnight before serving.
