Finely grate the ginger and garlic. Diagonally slice the Japanese long onion into 1 cm (0.4 in.) widths.

Heat the vegetable oil in a fry pan, and saute the potato starch-dusted liver with the garlic and ginger. Pour in (B) and bring to a boil.

Add in the Japanese long onion (3), coat with the cooking liquid and pour in the sesame oil to complete.
