Cut beef and tomato into bite-sized pieces. Chop chives.

Pour sesame oil into a frying pan and turn heat to medium. Put in beef and then season lightly with salt and black pepper.

Add tomatoes and then add soy sauce and sake. Turn heat to high stir contents frequently. Once beef is thoroughly cooked and while tomatoes are still fairly firm, remove from heat and plate. Garnish with chopped chives.
