Directions

  1. Cut off the end of the red bell pepper and remove the seeds. Cut into 4 rounds, and dice remaining red bell pepper. Boil the broccoli.
  2. Soak panko(Japanese bread crumbs) in milk.
  3. Put meat, onion, diced red bell pepper, (2), salt and black pepper in bowl and combine. Whip and add egg, then knead and divide into 4 portions.
  4. Flatten out 4 patty portions (3) so that they are about 1.3 cm (1/2 in.) wider than the diameter of red bell peppers. Then push into place the red bell pepper on top of each patty and embed corn into the center.
  5. Heat oil in pan, and cook with red bell pepper side facing up. Turn over when browned, and cook until cooked through.
  6. Serve on plates garnished with bibb lettuce and broccoli. Top with mixed Ponzu Lime and daikon radish.

Bell peppers - removing seeds

Cut the bell pepper in half, fold the stem and then remove the seeds with your fingers. This is an easier and less wasteful method than using a knife.
