Chop the hakusai into large chunks and slice the pork into 5 to 6 cm (2 in.) lengths.

Place the hakusai and pork into a large pot so that they form vertical layers. Add in 200 ml (6.8 fl. oz.) of water, cover with a lid and steam cook over medium heat for 10 minutes to cook the ingredients.

Dip into ponzu sauce and enjoy. Add grated daikon radish and green onions to the ponzu sauce for extra flavor if desired.
