Cut the roots off of the Japanese parsley, then cut into 3-4 cm (1.4 in) lengths.

Cut chicken into strips, then dry and cover in starch.

Heat the cooking oil in a fry pan over medium heat. Add and saute the chicken from (2). Once the chicken is completely cooked through, add in and stir-fry the Japanese parsley from (1). Pour in the soy sauce and cooking sake in a circular motion around the edge of the fry pan (avoid directly pouring onto the fry pan contents). Quickly mix, turn off the heat and serve.
