Mix (A) together in a lidded heat-safe container. Cover and microwave for 20 seconds (500 W), then cool in a refrigerator.

Lightly boil the mizuna, then place in cold water. Drain and cut into 3 to 4 cm (2 in.) lengths.

Thinly and diagonally slice up the cucumbers, then julienne. Also julienne the ham.

Pile (2) and (3) into a bowl and pour on (1). Sprinkle on white sesame seeds if desired.
