Thinly slice the garlic and mince the anchovy fillet.

Add (1) to (A) and mix together.

Remove calyces and stems from the okra, then use a little salt (extra) to gently rub to remove fuzz. Quickly boil, then drain and marinate in (2). Stir occasionally and allow to marinate until cooled.
Cooking Basics
Garlic - thinly sliced
Cut the garlic clove with the skin removed vertically in two. Then use the heel of the knife to remove the core and thinly slice.
Okra - removing the calyx
Insert a knife blade between the stem and the pod and then cut all around to remove the calyx.
Okra - removing fuzz
Cover the okra lightly in salt and rub all over gently to remove the fuzz. This will make the color more vivid and soften the texture as well.
