Directions

  1. Rinse off and then pat each cherry leaf dry.
  2. Place the flour, potato starch and sugar into a bowl and mix using a hand mixer. Add in (A) and mix further.
  3. Heat up a fry pan over medium heat, remove from the heat and thinly spread the vegetable oil, then place over very low heat. Pour in 1/4 of (2), and use a spoon to spread the batter out to form a 12 cm (4.7 in.) long, 6 cm (2.4 in.) thick oval and cook this.
  4. Once the surface is dry and cooked, flip over and quickly cook the other side as well. Place on a cooking sheet to cool. Cook the remaining batter in the same manner.
  5. Mix (B) into the sweet red bean paste, separate into 4 portions and shape these into logs. Roll up in (4) and then (1).
