Directions

  1. Cut the pork into easy to eat pieces 1 to 1.5 cm (0.4 to 0.6 in.) thick. Mix (A) together in a bowl, add in the pork and gently massage in, then allow to soak for about 15 minutes.
  2. Slice the daikon radish into 1.5 cm (0.6 in.) thick wedges.
  3. Heat the sesame oil in a pot, add in (2) and cook for about 5 minutes until lighly browned, then remove.
  4. Drain and add the pork (1) to the pot from (3) and cook until browned on both sides (set aside the pork marinade).
  5. Return the daikon radish to (4), add in (B) and the pork marinade. Turn the heat to high and once boiling remove any scum that forms. Turn the heat to medium and simmer for about 15 minutes until the cooking liquids are almost boiled down.
  6. Serve (5) into dishes with a side of boiled bok choy if desired.

Peel the daikon radish, cut into half vertically and then while holding both halves together with your hand, slice at consistent widths from end to end.
