The potatoes can be steamed or baked in an oven as well.

Place the unpeeled potatoes into a small pot and fill the pot with enough water to completely cover the potatoes. Place the pot over medium heat and once the water comes to a boil turn the heat to low and boil for about 15 minutes to fully cook the potatoes.

Right out of the pot, slice a cross into the boiled potatoes and place on top of each a slice of butter and a drizzle of soy sauce.
