  1. Moisten palms of clean hands with water and place half the rice into one palm. Use both hands to squeeze and shape the rice into a firm triangular ball of rice. Make one more rice ball.
  2. Spread the vegetable oil in a fry pan over medium heat, arrange the rice balls in the fry pan and cook on both sides until golden brown.
  3. Use a basting brush to coat both sides of the rice balls with soy sauce and then quickly pan roast each side once more to finish.
