Rinse the green beans and place into a lidded heat-safe container without drying. Microwave (500W) for 1.5 to 2 minutes. Remove and cut the beans into 3-4 equal lengths.

Place the dried bonito flakes and ground sesame seeds into a fry pan. Roast until fragrant.

Place (1) in a bowl and dress well with (A). Sprinkle (2) on top and serve.

Rather that removing one stem at a time, it is much faster to lay the beans with stems facing in the same direction and then cut these off at once.
