Directions

  1. Remove any bones and skin from salmon fillet and then grill in a frying pan. Once thoroughly cooked remove from heat.
  2. Place cooked salmon into a different pot or frying pan over medium-low heat. Gently move salmon around the pot until the fillet begins to break apart, forming flakes. Once entirety of fillet starts to flake add mirin and sake and continue to gently stir contents of pot. After about 1 - 2 minutes of stirring, evenly distribute soy sauce over the salmon flakes. Stir contents for about another minute and then turn off heat. Salmon can be preserved in the refrigerator for about one week, and can be used as a topping for white rice and other dishes.
