Pan-Fried Yellowtail with Sweet and Sour Sauce

(A)Sweet and Sour Sauce

1/2 Tbsp


  1. Cut the yellowtail into bite-size pieces, sprinkle on the salt, set aside for 10 minutes, then pat dry.
  2. Place (A) into a heat-safe bowl and heat unlidded in a microwave (600 W) for about 30 seconds.
  3. Place the flour and potato starch into a cooking tray, combine together and lightly coat onto (1).
  4. Pour oil to a 1 cm (0.4 in.) depth into a 20 cm (8 in.) diameter fry pan and heat to medium-hot. Add in (3) and pan-fry while turning over ocassionally for about 3 minutes.
  5. Place (4) into the bowl from (2), coat well, then add in and dress with the sesame seeds. Arrange the lettuce leaves and yellowtail on plates to serve.
