ham

4 slices

Italian parsley

2 sprigs

nori seaweed

2 whole sheets

deep-frying oil

as needed

lemon

as desired

Directions

  1. Slice the ham into 1.5 cm (0.6 in.) squares. Mince the Italian parsley.
  2. Grate the yamatoimo, add in (A) and (1) then mix.
  3. Heat the deep-frying oil to 180 C (356 F).
  4. Cut the nori seaweed sheets into 16 equal-sized strips, place 1 Tbsp of (2) onto each strip and wrap.
  5. Gently place each portion into the deep-frying oil, deep-fry for 1 to 2 minutes until puffed up and golden, then serve onto plates garnished with a lemon wedge.
