Cilantro and Ground Meat Rice Bowl

Directions

  1. Cut the hard roots from the cilantro leaves, chop the bell pepper into 1 cm (0.4 in.) squares and mix together (A).
  2. Heat the sesame oil in a fry pan over medium heat, saute the ginger and garlic. Once fragrant add in the ground meat and saute together.
  3. Once the ground meat becomes crumbly, add in (1) and then (A) using a a circular motion. Saute until the cooking liquids are boiled down, then adjust the flavor with salt and pepper.
  4. Scoop the rice into boils, top with (3) and garnish with the cilantro leaves.

Cooking Basics

Garlic - mincing

Remove the skin of the garlic clove, and cut vertically in half. Then remove the core, slice thinly cut-side down without cutting as far as the base part, and lay the knife flat and insert horizontal cuts. Finally, mince from end to end.


Ginger - mincing

Remove the skin of the ginger and thinly slice, gradually sliding and stacking the slices. Then mince the ginger into fine pieces, and slice again finely at right angles.
