Directions
- 
Peel the yam and soak in a vinegar (extra) / water solution, then slice into about 3 cm (1.2 in.) long pieces.
- 
Place the yam pieces into a storage-use plastic bag and use a wooden stick or pestle to crush them.
- 
Serve the crushed yam into bowls, pour on some ponzu sauce and sprinkle on a good amount of yakinori seaweed.
