Directions

  1. Cut the chicken into 1 cm (1/2 in) squares. Finely chop the onion and green pepper.
  2. Heat butter and cooking oil in a fry pan. In the following order fry the chicken, onion and finally green pepper.
  3. Add rice to (2) and stir together. Season with ketchup, salt and pepper. Finally add the soy sauce and continue to stir all the ingredients together.
  4. Serve on a plate, garnish with parsley.

Cooking Basics

Onions - finely chopped

Cut the onion with its outer skin removed vertically in half, and thinly slice cut-side down without cutting as far as the base. Then lay the knife flat and insert horizontal cuts, finely chopping from end to end.
