Simmered Nanohana and Fried Tofu

300 ml (10.1 fl. oz.)


  1. Dip the nanohana into water to refresh. Remove and quickly boil in lightly salted water. Remove into cold water. Cut into 4 cm (1.6 in) lengths, then squeeze out excess moisture.
  2. Cut the thick deep-fried tofu into easy-to-eat pieces. Pour on hot water evenly to remove excess oil.
  3. Heat (A) and (2) in a pot. Once boiling, lower the heat. Cover with a lid, and leave to simmer for about 10 minutes.
  4. Remove the cover, add in (1) and simmer uncovered for an additional 2 minutes.
