Ingredients(Servings: 2)
- Hon Mirin contains alcohol.
For individuals unable to consume alcohol, we recommend that you either do not use Hon Mirin or that you boil off the alcohol content prior to use (heated at boiling temperatures for 1 to 1.5 minutes).
Directions
- Remove the sinew from the chicken tenders, cut into large, bite-size pieces and soak in (A).
- Slice a thin opening in the shishito peppers. Divide the scallion into 3 cm (1 in.) lengths. Thinly slice up the garlic.
- In a bowl, mix (B), 100 ml (3.4 fl. oz.) of hot water, and the garlic to prepare the marinade.
- Fry the vegetables from (2) in the cooking oil. Lightly cover the chicken in starch and fry as well.
- Place (3) in (4) and cover with a lid. Once well marinated, serve on a plate.

Cut the garlic clove with the skin removed vertically in two. Then use the heel of the knife to remove the core and thinly slice.
