chicken tenders

tomato

(B) Dressing

sesame paste

sugar

2 tsp

vinegar

2 tsp

sesame oil

1 tsp

doubanjiang/chili bean paste

1/3 tsp

minced garlic

1/4 clove

negi/Japanese long onion

2 cm (0.8 in.) portion

minced ginger

1/4 knob

Directions

  1. Remove any sinews from the chicken tenders and place into a heat-safe container. Sprinkle on (A), lightly cover with plastic wrap (or lightly place a lid on top without sealing), then heat for 3 minutes in a microwave (500W).
  2. Mix together the ingredients from (B) to prepare the dressing.
  3. Cut the tomato into wedges, use a vegetable peeler to create lengthwise stripes along the cucumber, cut in half lengthwise then slice up diagonally.
  4. Once (1) has cooled, tear up into easy to eat strips, arrange colorfully with (2) and (3) on a plate, and pour on (1) before enjoying.
