- Slice the ham into 1 cm (0.4 in.) squares. Drain the corn. Toast the bread to golden in a toaster / toaster oven.
- Heat the butter in a fry pan over medium heat, pan-roast the ham and corn for about 1 minute (be careful as hot butter may splash out). Add and mix in the soy sauce, turn off the heat.
- Place 1/2 of (2) onto each slice of bread, and then sprinkle on half of the black pepper onto each to finish.
