Cut the cabbage into 3 cm (1 in) square pieces, and the bell pepper and ham into 1/4 in thick strips.

Heat the cooking oil in a pan and fry the cabbage until it softens over high heat. Add in the bell pepper and ham, stir fry for a few moments and lightly season with salt and pepper.
