Place the boiled adzuki beans into a bowl, crush the beans with a wooden spoon or other suitable kitchen tool, add in the soy sauce and combine well.

Place 400 ml (13.5 fl. oz.) of water into a pot, sprinkle in the agar-agar and turn the heat to medium. Bring to a boil while stirring from the bottom of the pot. Once boiling, leave over medium heat for 2 minutes while stirring and simmering to thoroughly dissolve the agar-agar.

Turn off the heat, add and dissolve into (1) a little at a time. Once somewhat cooled, place into a mold of your choice (cooking tray or storage container) and chill well. Once hardened, cut into easy-to-eat portions to serve.
