Cut 3 cm (1.2 in.) of the hard stalk off of the asparagus, peel the bottom 1/3 of the remaining spear, then halve each one.

Halve the bacon slices and wrap each half around 2 sticks of (1) to make 1 bundle.

Into a fry pan coated with the olive oil, place (2) with the wrap end facing down, cover with a lid and cook for 2 minutes over low heat, then turn over and cook the other side.

Pour in (A) and simmer over medium heat while coating each bundle with the seasonings.
