Cut the onion in half, remove the core, and slice into 1 cm (0.4 in.) widths. Quarter the carrots. Trim the ends off the green beans. Halve the potatoes. Grate the garlic. Cut the pork slices in half, then season with the salt and pepper.

Heat the olive oil in a pot over medium, then add in the pork. Cook for 2 to 3 minutes, flip and cook for 1 more minute.

Add in the onions. Lay the meat on top of the onions. Pour in (A).

Add the potatoes, kidney beans, carrots, green beans, and thyme. Cover with a lid and bring to a boil over high heat.

Once boiling, reduce the heat and simmer for 30 to 40 minutes.
If completing in an oven: After bringing the pot to a boil on the stove, cover with a lid and transfer to an oven preheated to 160 C (320 F). Broil for 50 minutes to 1 hour.
