
The refreshing lemon-soy sauce chicken is coated with stir-fried spicy and crispy panko breadcrumbs. With just one fry pan, you can prepare the main dish, a side, and a vegetable garnish.

Cut the broccoli into small florets. For the fresh shiitake mushrooms, remove the stems and cut them into quarters. Slice the king oyster mushrooms in half lengthwise, then cut them into three pieces. For the button mushrooms, cut the larger ones in half (if using other varieties, cut them into bite-sized pieces). Remove the core from the red onion and slice it thinly.

Diagonally slice the chicken into 6 pieces. Season both sides with salt, pepper, and flour.

Put A in a fry pan and heat over medium until golden and crispy, then remove from the pan.

Pour olive oil into the fry pan and heat over medium. Then, add the chicken, onion, broccoli, and mushrooms to the pan. Cook the chicken for about 2 minutes, then flip it over. Toss the vegetables to coat them evenly with oil.

Add water to the vegetables, cover with a lid, and once it comes to a boil, steam-cook over medium-low for 4-5 minutes.

Remove the lid, stir-fry the vegetables, and season with salt and pepper. Squeeze the lemon over the chicken and drizzle with Kikkoman Soy Sauce. Finally, sprinkle the crispy panko on top to finish.
Cooking Basics

The hard base, called "ishizuki" in Japanese, is the blackish tip at the end of the stem. Use a knife to cut or scrape off this portion.

Lay the knife down almost flat to make thin slices. By doing so, larger slices will cook faster and flavors will be soaked up more easily.
