broccoli  

80 g (2.8 oz.)

salt

a dash

vegetable oil

1 Tbsp

sawara/Spanish mackerel

2 fillets (160 g / 5.6 oz.)

(A) Sauce

1 & 1/2 Tbsp

Directions

  1. Divide the broccoli into small florets, boil in lightly salted water and then drain.
  2. Thinly and diagonally slice up the negi.
  3. Heat the vegetable oil in a fry pan over low medium heat, arrange the sawara inside and cook for 5 minutes. Flip over, add in (2) and cook for a further 5 minutes.
  4. Use a circular motion to pour (A) into (3), quickly boil then turn off the heat. Serve onto plates with a side of (1).

Remove the roots of the Japanese long onion. Then thinly slice up diagonally from end to end.
