Directions

Place the onion in a lidded heat-safe container, cover and microwave (600 W) for 90 seconds.

Place the ground meat and okara in a bowl, add in the soymilk, season with salt and pepper and knead together well. Once evenly kneaded and sticky, add in (1) and mix in throughout.

Divide (2) evenly in half. Form each half into a 1 cm (0.4 in.) thick patty.

Heat the olive oil in a fry pan and brown one side of the patties, then flip over. Cover with a lid, turn the heat to low and steam-fry.

Wipe away excess oil, pour in (A) and bring to a boil. Coat both sides of the patties evenly with the seasonings. Serve with a side of sauteed corn and boiled green beans, if desired.
