A stir-fried noodle dish popular in Japan, easily prepared on the stovetop or even on a hot plate.

Cut the beef into easy-to-eat pieces. Julienne the bell pepper, quickly boil the bean sprouts and then drain in a colander.

Heat the sesame oil in a fry pan, add in the beef and vegetables from (1), cook and season with a dash of salt. Next add in the udon noodles, and stir-fry all the ingredients together.

Mix together (A), pour into the fry pan from (2), and stir-fry all together. Sprinkle on the sesame seeds to complete this dish.

Slice the green pepper in half vertically, remove the stem and the seeds, and slice sideways following the grain to widths of around 3 mm (0.1 in.). Green peppers cut using this method will have a crisp texture when sauteed.

Slice the green pepper in half vertically, remove the stem and the seeds, and cut at a right angle to the grain to widths of around 3mm. This cutting method is recommended for raw consumption.
