Deep-fried Sweet Potatoes and Green Bell Peppers

  1. Cut the sweet potato into pieces about 3 to 4 cm (1-1/2 in.) in length and 7 mm (1/4 in.) in width and height.
    Rinse with water.
  2. Cut the bell peppers in half lengthwise and remove the seeds.
    Then, cut into 1.5 cm (1/2 in) wide rings.
  3. Heat up oil in a pot, then dry (1) and (2) and deep fry.
    Drain off the oil and sprinkle with salt.

Cut the pepper in half, fold the stem and then remove the seeds with your fingers. This is an easier and less wasteful method than using a knife.
