  1. Wash the cabbage, place in a lidded heat-safe container, cover with the lid and microwave for 3 minutes (600 W), then drain in a colander.
  2. Once cooled, chop up, squeeze out excess moisture, and place on a plate.
  3. Cover the chirimenjako with the vegetable oil, and heat in a microwave for 90 seconds without a lid, place atop of (2) and dress with the ponzu sauce.
