Rinse the rice. Allow it to soak in water for about 1 hour, then drain in a colander to remove excess moisture.

Break apart the maitake mushrooms by hand.

Place (1) and (A) into a rice cooker and lightly stir. Gently drop (2) and the soybeans on top, do not mix. Cook the rice as usual.
