
Thinly sliced raw bell peppers are tossed with a sweet and savory sesame sauce. It's a colorful dish that adds a bright touch to the table.

Make the dressing. Put the sesame seeds from (A) into a fry pan and toast over medium-low heat for about 2 minutes while stirring. Grind in a mortar (“suribachi”), then add water, sugar, and Kikkoman Soy Sauce and mix.

Cut the bell peppers in half lengthwise and remove the seeds. Cut them lengthwise again, then slice thinly across. Add to the dressing from Step 1 and toss to combine.

Cooking Basics

Cut the bell pepper in half, fold the stem and then remove the seeds with your fingers. This is an easier and less wasteful method than using a knife.
