Grilled Pork-Wrapped Hakusai

  1. Remove the hakusai core.
  2. Sprinkle the pepper onto the pork, wrap the pork around the hakusai.
  3. Heat the olive oil in a large fry pan, place the pork rolls inside with the roll-end facing down, cook over medium heat until browned on all sides.
  4. Cover with a lid, cook for 5 minutes over low heat, then flip over and steam-fry for 5 more minutes while wiping away excess oil.
  5. Turn the heat to medium, add in the soy sauce and mirin, coat all ingredients and slice up once cooled.
